Requirements for Participating in Study Abroad Programs with ECI
High School Students who participate in our Group or Immersion Programs to the US with ECI must:
- Be between the ages of 13 and 18. (Individual immersion: Ages 15 – 18)
- Receive a positive teacher recommendation. ECI provides the form.
- Have a valid passport.
- Be in excellent physical health, able to walk distances, climb stairs & carry luggage.
- Be committed to speaking and improving their English.
- Be open to new experiences and unfamiliar cultures.
- Be able to make responsible choices and act in a mature manner. ECI leaders chaperone conscientiously, but cannot be with students 24 hours per day. Students who require constant supervision should not enroll.
An international learning experience is an invaluable part of a high school student’s education, and we encourage you to consider the many choices we offer.
Our summer abroad programs help you gain the kind of knowledge only an on-site experience can provide. They are well established, widely respected, and carefully planned & coordinated.
